BellHawk Online • Manufacturing • Industrial Distribution

A big advantage of BellHawk Online is its availability for immediate use 'out of the box' on the cloud. It has a full range of capabilities not available elsewhere to small and medium size organisations. A simple step by step implementation and training plan is all you need to proceed.
Implementation
Set up is by import of pre-defined spreadsheets populated with company data and parameters. Customisation is available as and when necessary for specific processes (e.g. picking) and data integration (e.g. CAD). BellHawk can be configured to exchange data with other business systems using 'high level data object' mapping of table definitions.
Capabilities
Originally developed to help NASA and USAF suppliers deliver on time, most companies start using BellHawk to keep track of inventory at plants, warehouses and sites. Next steps are to track orders (customer, purchase, work, ship) through manufacturing, warehousing and despatch. Contractors use it to track project materials and installation.
Additional modules provide for labelling, weighing, quality control, traceability, regulatory compliance, dynamic generation of work orders and purchase orders for new customer orders, and dynamic scheduling of work orders to meet delivery dates.
Details
The two sections below are key point summaries of what BellHawk can do:

1. Manufacturing and Industrial Distribution
Manufacturing: Materials Management
Inventory
• Track materials, intermediates, WIP, finished products • Manage multiple sites, plants, warehouses.
Make to order Warehousing
• Track varying product mix • Control delivery to work centres • QC • Traceability.
Make to order MRP
• Predict availability (inventory, on order, to be consumed/made/shipped) • Dynamically issue purchase/work orders to fulfil new customer orders.
Manufacturing: Operations Management
Operations
• Track flow of WIP and work orders from one work centre to the next.
Work in progress
• Track WIP in and out of operations • Prevent use of wrong material • Capture job cost data • Traceability.
Scheduling
• Automatically schedule jobs to ship orders on time.
Pricing:
• Estimate job costs • Compare actual job cost to estimate.
Warehousing: Industrial Distribution
Operations
• Identify containers and discrete items with 'licence plate' tracking numbers • Track goods received, ownership, movements, locations • QC.
Secondary operations
• Control repackaging, relabelling, kitting, assembly, material conversion, etc.
Orders
• Process customer, purchase, work and ship orders.
Picking
• System directed assignment to pickers • Sequencing • Customised processes • Extensive checking to reduce mistakes.
Mixed products:
• Pick, pack, palletise and ship • Generate 100% accurate ASNs.
Traceability
• Food, chemicals, medical products, materials, parts, etc.
2. Applications by Industry
Regulated industries
Food and nutritionals:
• Paperless traceability • Mock recalls, recalls • Food safety standards compliance, e.g. HACCP.
Medical products sand devices
• Serialised labelling • Traceability • Recalls; • Annex11 / 21 CFR part 11 compliance.
Laboratories
• Track samples, testing and storage • Track reagent manufacture and use • Record equipment use • Schedule tests in conjunction with laboratory information management systems.
Manufacturing
Building components
• Track make to order operations • Track delivery and installation • Track activities and costs of multiple projects.
Electronics and electromechanical assembly
• Track and control parts ordering, stocking, kitting, assembly, test, traceability, repair, replacement.
Engineering and contracting
• Order and track materials • Schedule and track operations • Track delivery, installation, returns, repairs • Track activities and costs of multiple projects.
