Barcode tracking

BellHawk Online tracks the containers holding your materials and products.

How it works

BellHawk Online makes it easy for operators to register each container and its content and to record changes in location, quantity and status.

The operator selects a transaction from the main menu on the terminal screen. BellHawk Online displays entry boxes for the data it needs, step by step.

BellHawk updates its online database as soon as the operator completes the transaction.

Track & Trace

Inventory is always accurate and the system keeps a complete record for traceability.

Containers

A container may be anything with barcode or RIFID tag. Such as a bag, bin, box, cage, keg, pallet, reel, roll.

Serially numbered items

BellHawk tracks serially numbered items as containers with a single item.

Nested containers

A single scan of the barcode on the outermost container tracks all the items in nested containers, such as parts in boxes on a pallets.

Loose material

BellHawk can track loose material. A pile of sand, say, is a container (pile) with a quantity (e.g. kg, m3) of product (sand) at a location (e.g. bay 17).

Attributes

The container record stores details of its contents like part number, quantity, lot, expiry, QC status, owner and project. User defined parameters hold colour, grade, dimensions or anything else you need to tell items apart.

Transactions

1. Entry and withdrawal of materials.

By part number, lot number, serial number and expiry date. This includes simple receiving and shipping. WMS modules add extra transactions for receiving against purchase orders as well as picking and loading ship orders.

2. Location and movements.

Real-time tracking of the location and movement of materials, including the movement of inventory between facilities and movement of materials to and from construction sites.

3. Issues and returns.

Issue of materials for production, assembly, or installation and the return of unused materials to stock.

4. Serialised items

Tracking the work-in-process status of serialised items as they travel through a sequence of manufacturing, repair or test operations.

5. Shipping

Shipping of materials to customers.

6. Asset tracking

Tracking of assets issued to departments or individuals as well as tools in stock rooms and on vehicles.

Extra Features

Dynamic Binning

Minimize the space needed to store materials. BellHawk records where every container of materials is stored. When a material has to be retrieved, the mobile computer screen shows the operator where to find it in age-first order.

Material Location

The system selects a preferred put away location but always allows an alternative. This enables a warehouse to cope with changes in storage requirements. It avoids some bins and shelves overflowing when others are empty.

Expiry · Inspection · Reordering

Reports show items past expiration date, due for inspection, and below the minimum required inventory. Together with traceability these features make BellHawk suitable for laboratories, food processing, and manufacturing from perishable materials.

Stock Counts

Users can validate inventory quantities by cycle counting and spot checks. The optional Inventory Audit Module enables blind counting without shutting down the warehouse.

Maintenance Inventory

BellHawk is ideal for tracking maintenance inventory and its use. This include parts on hand at various locations in the facility and at other sites.

Asset Tracking

BellHawk Online has all the functions you need to tracking and manage assets through their lifecycle: Acquisition (with purchase order module) · Receipt · Distribution · Return · Maintenance · Disposal.

Loading · Delivery · Use

The system will track when materials are loaded onto trucks, delivered and used. It is ideal for construction activities where recording delivery and use on site is a critical part of project management. Likewise for "warehouse-on-wheels" applications in field service.
