Warehouse Management System

WMS is a complete industrial warehouse management system.

The WMS is a set of modules to use with a BellHawk base system. For distribution you can use Materials Tracking (LPMTS) but for production and distribution you will need Real Time Operations (RTOPS).

Materials

WMS tracks 'materials' meanung all types of material: raw, intermediate, part, assembly, work in progress, scrap, finished goods, and packaged product.

Real-time Inventory

• Visibility: reports inventory status in real-time.
• Materials: tracks raw, intermediate and finished goods.
• Lot, Serial, Expiry: tracks materials by lot, number and date.
• Movements: tracks who entered, moved or withdrew inventory and when.

Containers · Locations · Sites

• Containers: tracks materials in containers of any type from bins and boxes to bundles and piles.
• Nested Containers: tracks materials in nested containers such as bags, cartons and pallets.
• Locations: tracks containers and materials by location.
• Floor Stock: tracks floor stock in manufacturing plants.
• Multiple Warehouses: tracks materials in multiple stock rooms and warehouses.
• Multiple Sites: tracks materials in off-site warehouses, construction sites and vehicles.

Process

• Receiving: records receipt and put-away of materials.
• Withdrawals: tracks withdrawal of materials for production or secondary operations.
• Returns: records return of unused materials from production operations.
• Picking, Packing: controls and records picking and packing.
• Shipping: controls and records shipping.

Control

• Pick lists: generates barcoded pick sheets.
• Directed Picking: performs directed zone picking (option).
• Stock Count: performs "cycle counting”.
• Stock Adjustment: records inventory adjustments and reason codes.
• Inventory Audit: validates inventory (option).

WMS Modules

Purchase Order Receiving

1. Enables direct entry of purchase orders and import via data exchange.
2. Translates between supplier and internal part numbers.
3. Tracks receipt and put-away of raw materials against purchase order.
4. Handles receipt of customer owned materials.
5. Exports receipt data to ERP and accounting systems.

Ship Order

1. Enables direct entry of sales orders and import via data exchange.
2. Records shipment of items to customers against sales orders
3. Exports shipment data to accounting and ERP systems.

Picking

1. Generates barcoded sheets to pick kits for assembly operations.
2. Generates barcoded sheets for picking and packing customer orders.
3. Selects items in FIFO (or other) order.
4. Prevents picking mistakes.
5. Supports directed zone picking for high volume operations (option).

Shipping Dock

1. Tracks loading of pallets and other containers onto trucks/trailers.
2. Warns material handlers when they are loading wrong materials.
3. Produces bills of lading.
4. Generates shipment data for EDI and shipping systems.
