Picking for production and shipment

PICK enables entry and tracking of move orders for production as well as picking orders for shipment.

Real-time Visibility · Control

Supervisors can see picking progress in real-time. They can modify orders on the fly for urgent changes.

The PICK module is also available in the WMS bundle.

Use of mobile computers

Pick Orders Generate barcoded picking sheets from Ship Orders, Work Order Steps (Bills of Material), and manually entered Move Tickets.
Directed Picking Picks displayed on mobile device in sequence; no paper picking sheets (requires KIT module).
Movements Record picking and movement of material* from Source to Destination location.
Picking · Packing Record picking and packing of materials* into containers and nested containers (requires SO module).

Process

Pick Line Scan pick line barcode.
Pick Location Device displays the location selected by the pick algorithm.
Alternative Locations Picker can list locations in FIFO/age first order.
Source Picker goes to a location and scans the barcode on the container (whole container pick) or the container/location (quantity pick).
Attributes Where needed, select material from the container by part number, lot number, expiration date, color, size, or other characteristic.
Alerts Act on a warning by the mobile device to avoid picking the wrong material.
Destination Scan the destination location and/or container.

Directed Zone Picking (KIT)

Kitting Pick kits of parts for production.
Ship Orders Pick and pack customer orders.
Zones Pickers can select next zone to avoid delays.
